The cold weather is upon us, and the season’s snowfall has begun. That can only mean one thing: it’s time to think about Christmas giving.
Once again IR is delighted to announce that we are participating in Christmas charities that we believe really make a difference. Our focus continues to be on the youngsters in our communities. Our hope is to make a difference to children who otherwise might do without.
By partnering with top educational organizations, we are able to bring some of the best learning opportunities to individuals in NDT. We are happy to announce the introduction of new, in-person training: Digital Radiography Course. Classes will be held at each of our Edmonton and Burlington locations this spring and will be provided by AINDT at IR Supplies and Services.

At IR we’re really excited about being able to offer the upcoming CEDO course at our Edmonton location. And we are not alone. We’ve had several people sign up with early enrolment. In fact, we’ve already reached our minimum enrolment. Part of what makes this course so special, besides it being the first time that we are offering this course, is that we are holding it live and in-person. Nothing compares to in-person learning that comes with hands-on instruction. The downfall is that we will have limited space. So, we are doing something about that. We are now offering a second date at our Burlington location.

Starting today and for the next few weeks, when you trade in your isotope-based analyzer for a new SciAps XRF unit, we will waive the disposal fee. Not only that, but if you have an old tube-based XRF unit—working or not—we’ll give you a trade-in allowance when you make a new purchase through us.

New Addition to Team IRWe are pleased to announce the addition of Ian Hewitt, Sales Representative, who will be joining the team at IR. Ian will be focusing on the entire product portfolio, including our SciAps line of products. We’ve seen incredible growth in demand for the SciAps analyzers, as NDT takes advantage of their superior technology provided in a lightweight, handheld option. Beyond NDT, we have been introducing this great technology to the recycling, mining, environmental, along with many other industries. The word is getting out and we are here to support that.
