More than a Source: there’s still time left!
Earlier this year we announced the opening of our Burlington location. To celebrate the expansion we shared a special offer with our source customers for all of 2019. We call it our More than a Source promotion. Here’s how it goes: when you purchase a new Ir-192, Se-75 or Co-60 source from IR, you get a free maintenance on a Sentinel 1075 SCARpro, 880 Series or Sentry Cobalt 330/110 at the time of source swap. That’s right, free!

Santas Anonymous
Last week we announced on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages, news of our support for a special Christmas charity. Just in case you missed it, we are now sharing the message directly with you.
We will once again be making a contribution to Santas Anonymous, and we hope you will join us. IR will match any gift you bring into our Edmonton location between now and December 6, with a second gift. Toys must be new and not yet wrapped. There is a special need for toys suited to children ages 9-10, who often get overlooked. Ideas for toys suited to children of all age groups can be found here.
The Carestream HPX-DR Just Got Better
Carestream will be launching an improved version of the HPX-DR detector system, with a non-glass panel. The result: eliminate the possibility of glass breakage that will leave your panel unrepairable. The bonus? Pricing from the previous version hasn’t changed. Deliveries are expected by year end 2019, but we are taking preorders now.

About the Artist: Margie Vinkle-Morano

Margie Vinkle-Morano was born and raised in Orillia, a small waterfront city in Central Ontario that she still calls home. Margie always had a fond interest in art for as far back as she can remember. In high school her teacher and mentor Jose Salas, helped her to realize her potential and true talent.
Since then, and over the years, she has had a number of pieces to her credit including wall murals as well as commissions of animals and people. To her delight she has had a few portraits of her favourite county music artists signed by celebrities such as Tim McGraw, Johnny Reid and Sugarland.
At an early age, Margie’s main medium was oil. As time passed she switched to acrylic. Today she still has fun with acrylic and enjoys creating what she calls her “mugshot” pet portraits on small wooden plaques. They are a wonderful tribute to beloved pets, particularly those who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

Although Margie has experimented with both oil and acrylic paints, she finds pencil to be the greatest challenge and loves bringing life to its gray tones. Our commission, an original pencil on paper drawing entitled Dragline Pins, depicts a technician performing phased array NDT. This true-to-life drawing is available for purchase through silent auction, with the proceeds to go to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Limited edition prints are also available.
Margie can be contacted by phone at 705-326-5002, or by email at margie1055@hotmail.com. A portfolio of her other pieces can be seen on her Facebook page: Pencil & Paint by Margie.
