Exposure Comparator Shims

Manufactured by Exposure, our high-caliber in-house NDT brand, these comparator shims meet Canadian Standards Association regulations. Comparator shims estimate the depth of internal undercut by comparing the density of the image of internal undercut with the density of the images of known notch depths in the comparator shim.

The shim is manufactured from materials radiographically similar to the materials being inspected. All of our comparator shims meet or exceed the specifications of CSA 662 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems.
