| This one-day, online radiation safety officer (RSO) refresher training with instruction by David Paynter, is designed for RSOs working in gamma industrial radiography who are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge. Stay up to date on recent changes to CNSC regulations, expectations, and what to expect from the CNSC in the next few years. Participants will receive a certificate of completion which can be used to satisfy RSO refresher training requirements. Course Date: Monday, November 15, 2021 <– registration cut-off on Tuesday Location: Virtual, live instruction Cost: $495 More Information and Online Registration  With in-person instruction by QSA Global, a worldwide authority on working with x-ray, gamma radiation sources and NDT products, this course covers design, approvals, QA requirements, daily inspections, formal inspections and maintenance of isotope radiography systems. You will be trained to maintain and inspect gamma ray projectors and accessories that are essential per 10 CFR 34 and 10 CFR 71 QA requirements. Hours: 16Course Date: January 10 & 11, 2022 (COVID restrictions permitting) Location: Burlington, ON Course Date: June 20 & 21, 2022 (COVID restrictions permitting) Location: Edmonton, AB Cost: $1,700 More Information & Online Registration  Also instructed in-person by QSA Global, whose educational staff are top-line professionals with extensive experience in the NDT field, this course will provide instruction on how to conduct or supervise the safe recovery of isotope radiography sources involved in accident or malfunction situations. The course covers cause and prevention, planning and assessment, exposure determination, shielding and operational guidelines. This includes a half day lab session and a session for reporting and root cause determination. Hours: 24Course Date: January 12, 13, 14, 2022 (COVID restrictions permitting) Location: Burlington, ON Course Date: June 22, 23, 24, 2022 (COVID restrictions permitting) Location: Edmonton, AB Cost: $4,258 More Information & Online Registration  The CEDO exam preparation course with instruction by David Paynter, prepares students for the Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) exam that is administered by Natural Resources Canada. The course will consist of live training that is either in-person or virtual.
