The PH Tool Miniature IIW-Type 2 Block is a small and lightweight version of the full-sized IIW-2. It does everything its big brother does, at a fraction of the size and weight. The mini IIW-2 measures 1″ thick x 2″ tall x 6″ long, and contains both 1″ and 2″ radii. Two sensitivity holes, one at 1/16″, and one at 1/8″, are located .500″ from each scanning surface. It has a large 1″ diameter through-hole, along with a convenient step measuring .500″ thick in one corner. Angle beam exit markers from 35 to 75° are machine-engraved on one face. It also has three close-tolerance steps for thickness calibration, measuring 0.500”, .750”, and 1.000”. The overall dimensions are 1.000″ x 2.000″ x 6.000″.
Both imperial and metric versions are available. Also available in aluminum, steel, stainless steel and special alloy.
Standard test blocks are non-representative tools, meaning that they are not manufactured from actual parts. Rather, they are a simplified design that contains manufactured discontinuities such as holes, angles, radii and more. Standard test blocks serve the purpose of standardizing and calibrating test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
All test blocks ship with a NIST-traceable certification report stating that the block meets applicable specifications.
