This one-day, online Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) refresher training is designed for RSOs working in gamma industrial radiography who are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge. Stay up to date on recent changes to CNSC regulations, expectations, and what to expect from the CNSC in the next few years. Participants will receive a certificate of completion which can be used to satisfy RSO refresher training requirements. Industrial Radiography RSO Course

Inspection and Maintenance

Facilitated by QSA Global, a worldwide authority on working with x-ray, gamma radiation sources and NDT products, this seminar covers design, approvals, QA requirements, daily inspections, formal inspections and maintenance of isotope radiography systems. You will be trained to maintain and inspect gamma ray projectors and accessories that are essential per 10 CFR 34 and 10 CFR 71 QA requirements.  Hours: 16

Also facilitated by QSA Global, whose educational staff are top-line professionals with extensive experience in the NDT field, you will be trained to conduct or supervise the safe recovery of isotope radiography sources involved in accident or malfunction situations. The course covers cause and prevention, planning and assessment, exposure determination, shielding and operational guidelines. Digital Radiography Training for NDT

The Digital Radiography Training for NDT course offered at IR provides specialized training designed to specifically meet the needs of industrial radiographers. Facilitated by Carestream, and with equipment that is used for actual evaluation, this course is designed to guide with transition from film to digital radiography. Students gain knowledge and come away with the understanding on how to evaluate, qualify, and implement digital technologies into production environments. XRF Analyzer Operator Course

The XRF Analyzer Operator Course will prepare you for the application and certification exam with Natural Resources Canada, for Level 1 or Level 2.  It will include both classroom and hands-on activities with the operation of a XRF Alloy Analyzer.  This course is hosted by IR Supplies and Services with instruction from SciAps.  Lunch will be provided.

Laser Safety Officer Course

The Laser Safety Officer course will provide an effective reinforcement of the duties and necessary knowledge of the Laser Safety Officer and discusses regulatory obligations including updated ANSI Standard for Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers (2014) and the fundamentals of a solid laser program. The class discussions and exercises will supplement the training material. Each attendee will receive a certificate of completion, and course notes.  Hours: 16
